Summer is almost upon us and that means it’s time to bring your bathing suits, flip flops and sunscreen out of storage. What better way to cool off during a summer vacation than at a water park? If you’re looking for some family fun in the sun why not slip and slide your way into summer at one of these fabulous water parks:

Siam Park

The Canary Islands is always a popular summer holiday destination for families wanting to make the most of the summer sunshine. If you’re one of those families who plan on enjoying your summer break staying at a holiday rental in Tenerife, then don’t miss spending a day at Siam park, one of the biggest water parks in Europe. This spectacular Siam-themed park is located in Adeje and offers a variety of attractions and slides that weave through tropical vegetation. If you’re feeling particularly brave you can experience the thrill of an 82ft drop on the Tower of Power. If you’d prefer a more relaxing experience you can always meander your way down Mai Thai, the world’s biggest lazy river.

Aqualandia Water Park is located in the city of Benidorm, on Spain’s Costa Blanca. It was the first water park in Spain and is still a popular choice for families spending their summer on the Costa Blanca. The water park features a variety of wave pools, slides and children’s games, as well as a variety of picnic areas, restaurants and shops. For the thrill-seekers, there are rides like the Black Hole and the Bing Bang. If you’re looking for a fun day out for the whole family, Aqualandia is an excellent choice.

Just a short distance outside of Venice you’ll find the fantastic Jesolo Aqualandia water park. This Caribbean-style theme park offers visitors a fun-filled adventure for the whole family.  There are clowns and entertainers on hand to take care of your children, and there is a variety of rides and attractions for every age group. There are 7 themed areas, including Funnyland, which is just for kids. In the Adrenaline Area you’ll find thrilling rides including The Spacemaker, which at a drop of 137ft is the highest slide in the world, as well as Kamikaze and the Bungee Jumping tower.  Visit the Tiki Arena and when you’ve dried off you can even enjoy a round of miniature golf.  You can’t go wrong visiting Aqualandia if you’re looking for an adventure-filled day out.

The Aquaventure water park is located at Atlantis, The Palm Hotel in Dubai. The water park covers 42 acres and has a superb variety of attractions. There are slides that catapult you through shark filled lagoons, rapid river rides as well as a designated children’s play area – Splashers. At the centre is the popular Ziggurat tower. When you’ve had enough of an adrenaline rush you can relax on a private beach. You can also combine your Aquaventure visit with a Dolphin Experience at Dolphin Bay, where you’ll be up close and personal with these beautiful creatures.


Algarve, Portugal

Located on Portugal’s Algarve coast, Aqualand is Portugal’s biggest water park, with rides and attractions for every age group.  There is a Mini Park and shallow pools, perfect for small children, as well as exhilarating rides like the Kamikaze and Anaconda slides.
